1685 Historic Mansion of James Buckelew

HOURS OF OPERATION

Lakeview House is open the second and fourth Sunday of every month unless otherwise noted from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.  

There is no admission but donations are always welcome.

Tours will gladly be arranged on weekdays for school classes and other organizations, upon request.  Speakers are available to come to talk about Jamesburg's part in American history at your group or club meeting. 

Other open houses include a President's Day Celebration in February, Buckelew Day in September, and Christmas at Lakeview in December.  

Coming soon will be an training for those interested in becoming new docents, (tour guides) of the Lakeview House on May 21, 2005.  

A special Open Hearth Cooking class is also being planned for the spring.   Interested parties should contact LakeviewEdu@yahoo.com .

DIRECTIONS

FROM THE TURNPIKE 
  Take the N.J. Turnpike to Exit 8A.  Bear left through the tolls and take Route 32 East.   Continue until road ends at the light at Railroad Avenue, with lake on right hand side and restaurant "Jonathon's Grill" straight ahead. Turn right at the light and the  Buckelew Mansion will be 1 block up on the left, across from Dunkin' Donuts.

FROM ROUTE 130
  Take Route 130 North past the Park and Ride, looking for signs for the turnpike.  Take the turnpike exit, which will place you on Route 32 East.  Pass the entrance to the turnpike and continue on Route 32 East, as described above.
